Okeechobee Lodge is located on Lake Huron, between McGregor Point and Frazer Point, leading into the world's largest fresh water fjord - Baie Fine. This once private lodge built in 1941 is now available for corporate retreats, family reunions and more. It is well known by boat enthusiasts across North America, and truly one of a kind.
Okeechobee Lodge, nestled along the shores of Lake Huron at the entrance to Baie Fine, boasts a rich and colorful history. The name “Okeechobee” was inspired by Lake Okeechobee in Florida, with “Okeechobee” meaning “Big Water”—a fitting moniker for its expansive waterfront setting.
Originally established as a high-end fishing camp, Okeechobee Lodge quickly became a sought-after destination for affluent American tourists. Its secluded location, accessible only by boat, made it an ideal retreat for those seeking privacy.
Okeechobee Lodge has hosted many influential people over the years, including two United States sitting presidents.
